This profile analyses some of the major risk factors for heart problems. This profile will tell you if you have diabetes (HbA1c) – there are over 1 million people with diabetes who do not know they have it. Finding out will enable you to make the lifestyle changes and start treatments that will significantly lengthen your life and improve how you feel every day. It includes a full cholesterol profile analysing over 5 parameters. Over 40% of adults have high cholesterol levels which is a very signficant risk factor for heart attacks and strokes. The only way to detect if you have high cholesterol is through a blood test. It will enable you to make the changes you need to reduce your risk of some of the most common causes of death. Generalised inflammation is tested with a high sensitivity C-reactive protein level. Firstly, Inflamation is bad for your heart. A high CRP level can also indicate the presence of a very wide range of other health problems like autoimmune diease, bacterial infections, osteomyelitis, pelvic inflammatory disease and inflammatory bowel disease.
BIO MARKER
C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
C-reactive protein (CRP) is a protein produced by the liver in response to inflammation. Elevated levels indicate inflammation or infection in the body and are used to monitor conditions like rheumatoid arthritis or infections.
Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1C)
Glycated Haemoglobin (HbA1c) measures the average blood glucose levels over the past 2-3 months. It is used to diagnose and monitor diabetes and assess long-term glucose control.
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL)
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Percentage
High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Percentage measures the percentage of HDL cholesterol in the total cholesterol. It helps evaluate cardiovascular risk and overall lipid profile.
Low-Density Lipoprotein (LDL)
Non-High-Density Lipoprotein (Non-HDL) Cholesterol
Non-High-Density Lipoprotein (Non-HDL) Cholesterol measures all cholesterol in the blood except for HDL. It includes LDL and other atherogenic lipoproteins, which are associated with cardiovascular risk.
Total Cholesterol
Total Cholesterol measures the overall amount of cholesterol in the blood, including LDL, HDL, and other lipoproteins. It is used to assess cardiovascular risk and manage cholesterol levels.
Total Cholesterol:High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Ratio
Total Cholesterol: High-Density Lipoprotein (HDL) Ratio compares total cholesterol to HDL cholesterol. A higher ratio indicates a higher risk of cardiovascular disease, while a lower ratio is more favourable.
Triglyceride
Triglyceride is a type of fat found in the blood. Elevated levels can indicate an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and are used to assess lipid health and metabolic risk.
